Nobila Casa

The Romanian brand, Nobila Casa, represents a chain of stores and interior decorations in the HOME & DECO field and a webshop. The company was born in 1999 in Cluj-Napoca, initially being a small family business that is part of the Mendola Investment Group group of companies.

Nobila Casa is the meeting point for those passionate about interior design and home decorations, offering a wide range of collections and various items that can be used throughout the home. It focuses on accentuating the warmth of the home and personal style through the entire range of items you need to furnish the home, as well as the possibility of purchasing a gift to your loved one's liking.

Currently, the store chain has 20 locations in 16 cities: Sibiu, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Brasov, Targu Mures, Alba Iulia, Baia Mare, Bistrita, Deva, Zalau, Oradea, Odorheiu Secuiesc, Miercurea Ciuc, Arad, Satu Mare and Sfantu Gheorghe.

The challenge

Nobila Casa wanted to give customers a fresh and sleek, newly designed website and, on the technical side, the possibility to view the real time stock of the twenty brick and mortar stores, to offer the possibility to order with in-store pick-up, to be able to have a seamless and almost real time integration with ERP system. These seemed to be the biggest challenges for most of the platforms.

Further requirements also included a mobile first vision because 80% of customers order from a mobile and they required a user-friendly interface and as many customisation options for each page as possible.

Solution offered

Solution is based on Dynamicweb All-In-One Business with PIM (Product Information Management).

The front-end is a custom template based on an initial mock-up built in Adobe XD by our partners Brandfusion. As an e-commerce site in a category where the visual presentation of products is essential, we developed a minimalistic, non-intrusive UI language that allows images to stand out. The visual style mirrors the tone already set by the brand identity and the shopping experience is natural, easy and intuitive for the type of NobilaCasa customer.

The solution is integrated with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and a couple of local marketplaces.

Results

The initial results are spot on meeting expectations. The stock verification works properly for each of the 20 brick-and-mortar stores, so customers can see if coming to the store is a good option for them or not.

The in-store pick-up option has been seamlessly integrated within the custom-built check-out.

Beyond the integration with the ERP system, Nobila Casa have successfully developed and integrated a custom online payment processing platform and a logistics and delivery automation platform.
